About the club Dacorum Roller Hockey Club is a non- profit making organisation, run by volunteers, all funds raised  are used for equipment or club expenses. People can play for up to 4 weeks before taking out club  membership, to see if they enjoy the sport. The first session is free to completely new members.  Players must be over 8 years old.   All players are advised to wear as much safety equipment as possible. We have a wide range of  equipment for people to use free of charge, to try the sport & see if you like it before buying any  equipment. For boys cricket boxes are cheap & easily available at most sports shops. For girls pelvic  protectors are available at real sport shops.   All types of skaters welcome to have a go hockey, so if you've tried aggressive skating at the XC skate  park in Hemel, maybe you would enjoy some in-line hockey. If you have skated recreationally at a roller  disco or tried roller derby, in-line hockey could be the next step. Pick up one of our cards at the XC skate park in Hemel Hempstead or Hemel Hempstead Sport centre.  And don't forget - first session is free.  Anyone with a good sense of balance whether you're  on a BMX or scooter at the XC skate park, or an  extreme skater at the XC Hemel, why not try some in-line hockey.
